Quickstart
Starting the software for the first time:
Flookey helps you get the most from your music collection. Although Flookey supports playback of individual files, we highly recommended that you import your entire library to take full advantage of our software's capabilities. Flookey needs to index your library before it will work with your music. We analyze each song in your collection and link relevant songs together.
Depending on the size of your collection and the speed of your machine, this process takes a few seconds per song. We recommend starting this process at night and then leaving it to process overnight if you have a large collection. We also recommend importing your entire collection at the same time as this will result in a more accurate analysis of your collection.
You can import your music into Flookey by dragging and dropping from Windows Explorer, by using the Import Folder function, or by importing your iTunes library.
The suggestions window provides you with on-the-fly recommendations. Our software learns about your music preferences and recommends music based on your tastes. The suggestions will change depending on what you're listening to, what you boost (see below), and what it has learned about your music preferences.
Boosting a song (or songs) in your collection will influence your suggestions to be more relevant to the boosted song. You can use the Keytracks Window to keep track of those songs you frequently boost or to remember songs that are representative of your changing moods; when songs are boosted from this window they will have a stronger effect on your suggestions.
You can add songs from the recommended suggestions to your play queue at any time; simply drag and drop the songs you want into the play queue. When these songs are done playing, Flookey will automatically start choosing songs for you.
Our patented search algorithm not only searches for the song you're looking for, but also finds other relevant songs based on what the song sounds like and based on what Flookey has learned about your musical tastes.
If more than one song matches the keyword you're looking for, simply boost the song you were looking for to find other songs relevant to it.
